Deepika declined ‘Kites’; gets set for ‘Krrish’ sequel
Deepika Padukone might be young but she isn’t naïve, for sure. Few know that the actress really saved herself from one of the biggest flops of her career some time back. Believe it or not, but smothering babe Deepika was the first choice for Barbara Mori’s role in Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Kites’.
Buzz has it that much before the Roshan scion went gaga over foreign beauty Barbara, the papa-son jodi was determined to get Dips on board for the lead role, but the actress refused.
Now here’s a flop averted! As per the industry sources, Dips was aggressively chased by the Roshans, but the actress refused time and again. But what made Dips decline the offer?
“Deepika was uncomfortable with the kissing and intimate scenes that would have been in store for her had she accepted the film,” adds a source close to the actress.
What’s more is that the actress was hesitant to wear a bikini at that point. However, grapevine has it that Deepika has now been short-listed for the sequel of ‘Krrish’. And this time, the actress is much too pleased with the proposal.
Even though Rakesh Roshan has refused to give an official word on the same, sources suggest that the film is certainly going on floors by the end of this year.
